 Post subject: WDC disconnected / reconnected in a second itself

I have 2 of 1 tb WDD (SATA WDC WD10 SCSI Disk Device) , the one on physical drive 2 looks healthy on winxp disk storage management, but for a week it is from time to time disconnected / reconnected in a second itself. scandisk gives no error.

I would check wiring and power, especially if the two drives are on the same wiring rail or adapters/multiple adapters are used. This comes to mind 1st.

I will second what BlackST said

Try an different power cable connection, I would even swap out the sata cable too.

If none of this works get all the data off that drive you can and RMA it back to WD.

Hi.

First of all thanks to everybody here.

I found where is problem : Gigabyte MB needed drivers updates.
Finally I d/led updates, after installation things things went fine.
