So I've had my book II for about 3 years.
It contains 2 WD5000AAKS 00TMA0 drives in RAID 0 (never again)
It started having problems a while ago and all of a sudden now it just doesn't show up on any computer. After doing some research I've concluded that PCB on drive A was fried.

The beauty of having 2 drives in RAID 0 is that i swapped boards between them to test it out. After the swap the drive that did not mount finally mounted and the one that worked started doing the same thing as the other one before.
As good as this would be on individual drives I need 2 of them working together at the same time

The drive with the bad board would kind of restart itself a couple of times and thats it.

I'm desperatelly looking for a PCB board replacement or if anyone has any other ideas of what I can do to fix this crap???

Just PCB swap will not Help you contact any Pro. check in this forum u will find someone Near to your place.

How come after the board swap between the drives the one that wasn't mounting finally did mount?

There is a chance that adaptive info in ROM is close enough for both drives. Here is what i suggest u do. Take the board from a good drive and put it on a bad drive. If the drive IDs properly and all is well - clone it to a 3rd drive. Use bit by bit cloner like HDclone, Copy-R etc. Then the clone is done , u take the good PCB from a bad drive and put it back onto ur good drive. Then put it in enclosure with the clone that u made. Cross the fingers. Done.

OR Contact a data recovery shop in ur area to see how much they would charge u.

PS Ur 2 drive in the enclosure might die soon as well. Tornado +)

I actually do have img files done of all files. Will that do or am I literally gonna have to clone the drive?!

In order for the drives in enclosure to work and give u data access, there has to be an exact clone inside. So u clone one of ur drives , then use the good pcb on second drive + clone of the first drive in enclosure.

Do you think a Mac OSx disk utility will clone it like that or do you recommend some other software?

At the end of cloning I got this message that the program wants to adjust partition data automatically or I can choose to do a manual adjustment or no adjustments. What should I do?!
