Really need your help and support here.
I own the complete HDD Doctor Suite and Data Compass Premium.
I got Hitachi Deskstar IC35L060AVV207-0 ATA/IDE 40GB failing drive.
I tried to connect it both to data compass and to the Hitachi HD doctor console but in both cases teh satatus is "no HDD".
In HD Doctor i can power it on or off and the connection to the power supply are good. I can hear that it is being turned on and off and spinning, but still the status is "no HDD" so i can do nothing to diagnose it.

Any help or pointers will be appreciated.
I read the manual but can't find the answer there.
Maybe its a corrupted NVRAM so i need the NVRAM file and firmware.

Sounds like either the drive is not jumpered properly (should be set to single master), there's a problem with your cabling, or the PCB is bad.

Or maybe the pcb is not native.
You should start with proper diagnostic.
Check if PCB is OK, re-solder contacts pads, inspect SA....

Compare the manufacture date of the drive against the YYWW or YWW (Year / Week) date codes on the ICs. They should be very close.
