hello i have currently two questions:
1)How many spare sector does a HDD have, generally. I guess every HDD model/brand/ has not the same number of spare sector. Where can one find this information, is it something published by manufacturers by any sort?
Where in the SMART/System Area wherever is it saved/ajust (i talk about the number of spare). For ex, with seagate serial cable and T shell, is it possible to read this value? how?

2)When SMART subsystem is reporting (05) reallocated sector count, where i can find the LBA of the remapped sector? Is this info can be reached into SMART logs? I think i've seen this info into SMART logs one time using hdat2 or mhdd. Is there a windows tool that can display the same SMART low level informations such as log and so on?

In order to see the G-list (Grown defect list) and P-list (Primary defect list), you need to send the drive a vendor specific command. These are proprietary commands that are not part of the ATA standard.

For example, here is a list of Seagate Diagnostic Commands:

Be very careful how you use them. They are case sensitive and can render your drive inoperable. They also only apply to certain models (F3 architecture).
