Hi everyone, nice to be a part of this lovely group here.

I have have a Fujitsu mht2080at from a dead laptop. I put is in a similar model and it's locked can't even get into the bios with the drive in the laptop. I have tried to unlock it on my pc with MHDD 4.5 and ATAPWD 1.1 with no sucess because I can't even get them to be detected in either program. Am I doing something wrong? Is it my hardware that's incompatible The drive comes up in windows uninitialized. I even used A-FF Repair Station diagnostic and HDD Unlock. They both say the drive is locked with high security. Can someone more knowledgeable than me help me out please and thank you.

My pc motherboard is an Asus Rampage Formula X48 by the way. Is the IDE on the board not compatible with MHDD or ATAPWD?

From a post by loki:

AFF Repair Station supports all WD 2.5" & 3.5" drives. http://hdd-tools.com/products/rrs/But it will cost you $49.95 but your data will be safe.

If you dont mind wiping your data then HDD Unlock is cheaper http://www.hddunlock.com/will cost you $24.95 or $29.95

Neither one worked or you are looking for a free solution?

If you are looking for a free solution, some users were successful using a program called ZU. I am not familiar with it, though.

I have just checked to see if mht2080at is supported & it is by both pieces of software.
I guess the user is wanting a free fix.
Spend the money & get the drive unlocked.

Freeee - It is the only thing that makes sense so far, as the OP is not very cooperative.

Or maybe the drive has additional issues.

Oh, well...
