Hi,

(Linux newbie here)

Long story short: My NAS box died and I'm recovering files from the RAID 1 hard drive(s) via ubuntu. The hard disks are ext3.

I access one of the drives ok via nautilus in ubuntu, and I see the folder structure, but I can't see any files in there. Where's my data gone? Ubuntu SMART Status says the disk is healthy.

I'm open to ANY method of recovering my files, btw - this is just only method I could think of.

Thanks for the reply Neuron, I managed to recover all the files by using Explore2fs.

It's a d-link NAS drive, but it's within warranty so I'm sending it back to get a replacement/refund. All is well.
