Hi,

My PC Specs:
Was on Win 7 x 64 switched to Win 10 Last month.
Asus P8Z77-V LK
Intel 3570K
Corsair 8GB DDR3
XFX 280x
OCZ PSU 700W OCZ700MXSP Model
VANTEC NexStar HX4 External Enclosure

I have been having some Hard Drive issues. Started with an External 2TB that just went dead, followed by a 3TB that won't be recognized by OS. Took them out and had them install internally, but they both had serious SMART issues and won't get through the WD software. System hung up etc. etc. Tried everything from formatting, low level, nothing worked. So I ended up giving up on them. And this was back in Sep, 2015.
Anyways, got a new 8TB and during copying files got stuck in the middle and then poof SMART errors, was in warranty so returned.
I have had a 1.5 Seagate for the past many years, it was showing some SMART issues as per 2013 screenshot that I had and now it went belly up and Motherboard warning at start up etc. Been holding on to a 500GB as well and it showed CRC error which might have changed as well. Further few other show Interface CRC Error count issues on the HDTune as well.
I have 2x3TB, 4x2TB, 1x500GB, 1x1.5TB, a new 8TB Seagate (no issues to date), OCZ Vertex SSD.
I was using Win 7 x64 previously and there were some issues with copying large files as the system would freeze completely, had to do hard power shut down, rest won't work. Since I upgraded to Win 10 (this month) that issue (so far) seems to have been resolved.

I have changed SATA cable in Sep when the external died.

I do know that the drives are old, external drives were around 5+ years old, the 1.5TB is more than 7yrs old. However the rest 2TB are under 3years. But I am SPOOKED to say the least. Lost 4 hard drive (including new 8TB) in the past 8-9 months and as you know it is no fun :(

I am not sure what could be doing this, could Motherboard cause these issues? or PSU? I check BIOS for Voltages for PSU/CPU and they are slightly over 3,5 and 12. I am even thinking of ditching the whole setup and going for an upgrade with Skylake, but again i don't want to do it :(

What do you folks think is going on.

Thanks.
