Just had the above HDD in from another DR company.
The above drive I think is Draco.
My ROM says its Giant.
Anyone ever seen a WD40EZRX part of the Giant family?

I cross referenced it on HDDSurgery's firmware database and it lists all SPEB drives as Draco.

I just finished working with one of these, and it was identified as Giant. I had to use the heads in a WD Red NAS WD40EFRX which also identified as Giant.

Does module 0xC5 still report the family ID?

yes it does, but sometimes if your drive is not supported or mcu locked you cannot access it to verify

Maybe this is where the confusion stems from. This is an extract from HDDSurgery Firmware website.
