hello everyone I found an old hdd drive I had laying around and it has a password on it. It goes to an old laptop asus gl552vw that much I can remember how to I find the firm ware for this hdd Hgst I am not to sure who makes it I've looked with no luck. secondly is there away to wipe the password off it or go into the cmd and retrive the password?

Are you saying there is a Windows password? Or an ATA password?
