Hello
We have a WD 1tb slim with broken heads and need replacing. It has one platter and there is nk scraches on it. After swapping the heads will i be able to read the data just connecting the hard disk to the laptop and reading it using windows? or do i need PC3000/MRT to read the data after head swap?

If you don't have proper tools for recovery, please don't change heads!
The difficulty of the work is always after the head exchange, especially with SMR drives.

I have the required tools: Laminar, MRT... etc but i was wondering after swapping the heads is there any difficulties? so i know beforehand and be prepared. the reason i asked if the windows would be able to read the data after head swap is because the WD takes micro B and need to be converted to be able to connect it to MRT.

You could put some known data on a working drive, Drop it until it breaks and then experiment all you want. When you succeed do it all again, then you are ready for a client drive.
There are a lot of precautions needed in a WD SMR drive.

the short answer is: no.

There are several things to take care of, you would probably fail even if you had access to the aforementioned tools.
You'd be better outsource it.
