This drive uses MCU encryption

WD10SDRW-11A0XS0-01.01A01-WD-WXL2A81JZZV0-000500AP

Check Module 127.rpm

Bump,
GPS All Modules 0123 ~ 0127 are like your second image ,So does that mean this is a MCU encryption based HDD from WDC ?

Yes

Well,
SED Was enabled in Mod 02 so when i used to connect this to a usb board it showed file system ,Every sector was zero ,Then if i used sata board sed was still enabled but it showed exactly the same stuff ,How is that possible ,The only thing i can understand is that data recovery guy has installed sata board and formatted hdd ,HDD is 2018 model ,Encryp was not used those time ,why do i get all these lousy cases damn

Amarbir,

I've literally just got the same one in. 2018 Jun - My Passport 1TB WD with WDC WD10SDZW-11UMGS0

I've popped on my Unlock PCB to work on firmware.

SED is on.

I went to check a sector, and the sectors are not encrypted using my non native MCU unlock board which is weird. I was just about to screw back on USB PCB but in the end I didn't need to.

How strange!
