I'm new here and was trying to learn about the product,
i have a IBM_HITACHI HTS548040M9AT00 that a client ask me to repair, have clicking noise, i did opened and i see the needle goes back and forth, like looking but not finding, can anybody tell me if this is a common problem that can be fix with HD DOCTOR?
i have many clients with sometimes same problem and I'm thinking to get the product
is this a firmware problem?

Well, if you are going to get involved in this field, you should start to learn what the best practices are. One of them is that you never open the sealed part of the drive unless you absolutely have to, and then, only in a clean environment. You can hear what is going on instead with an inexpensive stethoscope.

Clicking in this brand could be due to bad heads, bad firmware, or bad PCB, to name the most common causes. None of which are addressed by common software tools.
