September 30th, 2008, 19:58

hi all
i have a wd 200 gig hdd
it was set up as my main drive (c:\)
the other day windows crash and i could not load the hard drive up no more
i've tried to load it up as a slave and bios can detect it
windows also detects it but says i have to format to get back into the drive
my question is how do i recover my data
i heard that there are many useful software tools out there
can someone suggest some to me
thank you

file system corrupt or bad sector on the drive.
image the drive and have a try to fix the file system. and obviously, dont use any software directly to the original dirve. work on image and try to fix file system.
if data is worth to u, contact a pro.
