PLEASE HELP!!!

ok, so my harddrive has burnt up, i dont see exactly where it is burnt, but i can smell it. I have looking for a new board to put in. I have found one on ebay, but the numbers are a little different, i was wondering if someone could tell me if it would work

i have:
wd2500jb-00rea0
Date: 10 mar 2007
dcm: hbbhnt2ahn
number printed on sticker on board: 2061-701292-c00 AH xc 3e22 3fde 5 0002360 7362
number etched on the board: 2060-701292-002 REV A

the on on ebay:

visually they look the same except the big chip on the board is a little different, the numbers start out the same but then become different

please let me know if this will work! i am crossing my fingers

Almost certainly won't work straight off.

You'll need a ROM swap to manufacture a suitable board from the good donor and the ROM from the original.

If you're UK, I can help u with this. And I can probably supply you a PCB too.

i am in US, do u have a pcb board u could sell me that would work? not sure how much shipping would be but i would pay it

but that one def. wont work, is there anything i can do to make it work?

Nope, these PCB's are VERY specific.

I have had joy with matching EXACTLY the same DCM and drives from the same box, but apart from that I've always had to transfer the ROM (or at least the programming within)

If you're willing to ship the drive to UK, I can do the work and ship it back to you, assuming ALL that's wrong with it is the PCB (which 9/10 times it is, to be fair)

I also have the pcb for the drive but as pcimage says u will have to transfer the ROM to make it work .
