Provide more details on a drive such as: Model, does it make any noise, sounds?

How do you know your first drive has media damage?
Did you open it?
Did you open a second drive?

raid 0 = not good in your case. You will need to save the bad disk to re-stripe the array. If the data is really important a forum member near you will do a pro job, or try bigger firms. If you want try try it alone, you have about 5% chance. The problem is that if the 5% does not work out the pro-option will then not work out as you will have destroyed the disk.

Answer the questions above ^^^

If one drive of a RAID0 configuration has media damage, you are pretty much hosed. You can recover files from the good drive that are smaller than the stripe size, and also which don't exceed the stripe boundaries. That doesn't leave much hope for a lot of useful data . . .

If you haven't actually opened a drive and discovered media damage -- only if you are interpreting the SOUND that you hear as damage -- open the enclosure and see what brand the drives are. If they are Maxtors, WDs, or Samsungs, I might be able to help.

both drives are Maxtor 500 gb.

1st drive is in good condition, raw recovery finished with corupted files. can anybody give me any advice which soft to use to recover them without coruption?

2nd drive of it is scratching platers so that drive IS GONE.

can anybody help?

thanks

Data is gone for good I'm afraid. Unless there are crucial files which are smaller than the RAID block size. Then you might get very lucky.

You can't get what is not there anymore.
