Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi all!
I need to fix an IBM laptop hdd, model DARA-2060000 (5Gb) which is locked with a *nasty* password.
The situation:
----------------
* I do not have access to the original notebook
* I do not have access to another drive of the same model/size
* Data in NOT important (onlu drive fixing)
* The drive is with security level = high.
* The user does not know the master neither the user password.
Mhdd lights the PWD led as soon as the drive is identified.
My questions:
-----------------
1 - I know how to unlock the drive if i have the master password for it. Anyone have it??
2 - If not, can the drive be fixed by PC3K IBM utilities or MHDD ??
Any advice will be welcome
Regards,
