hi guys
i hav a SAMSUNG SP0802N hdd rather had one...d boot sector or sumthin similar got corrupt...is there neway i can get atleast some of the data back 4m it? wen i used to connect it and boot 4m it it used to say HAl.dll missing
and wen i connect it now d device manager shows d HDD bt the drive are not shown pls help

SA or inaccessible sector 0, ya, its possible to recover most of the data. if you r familiar with MHDD, then try to read few sectors if possible n keep posting the result. otherwise leave to a professional.

That's a mild case, based on what I know so far.
You have two choices.
1. Learn how to image dying hard drives. I am not sure that you can without spending a lot of time on it.
2. Send it to someone like me.
I have a pretty affordable rate for something like this.

1) Wrap drive in antistatic bag
2) Pack well in a sturdy box
3) Send it to the data recovery firm of your choice.
There is plenty of information here, but there is nothing anyone can say that will make you an expert. Proper diagnosis comes before proper repair. Since it seems you know step 1 is beyond your abilities, the other steps are pointless. The tutorial above is your best bet if the data is important to you.
