There's nothing like brand new with mfg. Support. Ebay is good if you know a model and you're looking for bargains.

My 2 cent: if you use it everyday you need not to be left alone in the dark when spares needed. For example Weller and Philips still provide EVERYTHING even for oldest equipment, and for me a unusable tool is a big and unacceptable profit loss. That's why I prefer the big names even if their prices are high - I have saved lots of money on long term

hi we had bad experiences with weller wqb products ... blackst we are in the same country but may be weller in your area has better customer care we had a lot of problem for preheat with large boards (we solved by our own), we'd like to try metcal do they have ir stations?

ebay I-968, had it for 4 months, It does the job but requires alot of flux for the tips.
