Samsung SV6004H

November 1st, 2008, 19:52

Computer crashes randomly after about 20 to 30 minutes. So I did a virus-scan of the hdd "outside" on a different system. The hard drive is making clicking noises every once in a while. Is the hdd gone or is there still a way trying to fix it somehow else?
Thanks for answers in advance.

If you still have access to data and copy it.
Drive is going to die soon.

If hdd its detected, and its possible to access O.S but hangs on the process, could be a "weah head" or bad sectors on that zone, but u need a DR Company to did the job, maybe its possible to get data without did any inside hdd, but need to be checked on first if reach readiness,at samsung some times the MHA system knocks " reset signal" when found a bad sector and cannot be readed, but could be another kind of knock, like a continuisly knocks, and stay on BSY wich cannot reach HDD readiness, that could be a MHA problems or SA, too but on this case only a DR could got the data back
