Testing 50-pin Quantum

Good day gurus,

I am looking for an adapter so that I can test this 50-pin drive and am not having any luck finding one. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

You just need a SCSI card

I think the best choice for you might be one like this :http://cgi.ebay.com/Adaptec-AHA-2940U2W-LVD-SE-PCI-SCSI-Card-FREE-SHIP_W0QQitemZ200269354976QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item200269354976&_trkparms=72%3A1234%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Thanks gurus,

Just one more thing............the connector is rectangular shaped not typical SCSI shaped. Does the Adaptec one you suggested still work VSC?

Thanks again

If you have any modern SCSI card, finding a 68pin to 50pin adapter should be a piece of cake.

I can buy them at Fry's, for example.

http://shop1.frys.com/product/2956035 - this looks like the right part.

Bart's SCSITool could be an easy way to send some SCSI commands to this drive. Bustrace and PC3000 SCSI are for more fun.

Try an Adaptec SCSI CONNECT 2904. It's the SCSI SE connector, anyway.
