Jmuanes, I think you are profesionnal of MHDD,
so I have some questions about MHDD,
Please you answer me tirelessly ,Thanks first !
1.I found when I change the value of EraseWAITS ,the result of F4 SCAN change ! Default value is 250 , but I think that 250 is the best
value to all HDD (250 is the best value to IBM HDD , I think) !
I want to ask : what function of the value of EraseWAITS ? How do I change the value to fix all kind of HDD ?
2.Can MHDD fix the slow slow HDD but no bad track ? How must I do ?

Hi all, sorry for the delay; but I'm very much busy theses days.
!- The value in erase waits is the time that the program waits for an anwser when the sector of the hard disk is accessed.
So the better to do is to change it and to make notes, to each manufactur and to each model has a value that can do a better job, the speed of the hard disk can help you to find the more adquated time to erase waits.
The reset in MHDD I use to sotp and then restart the hard disk, but you can use it to other experiences, try it.
The hard disk can start to be slow because of the defects, so when you can fix the bad blocks with the standard ATA command ( using MHDD ) you can fix the tranfer speed of the hard disk; so here we already have the answer for the bad block fixing of MHDD; this is only possible when the Hard disk acept the Standard ATA command.
I think that TheBeginner already say everything about what MHDD does better - "To Test the hard disks".
The best thing to work with hard disks is diger then to find theyers specifs ATA commands, or to buy utils that others already does to do the job. This is what the PC3000 does, the Complex has utils with ATA Commands for some hard disks models; also the HRT tools and some russian tools like CP and HDDL from Lova's and others tools that you will need to find or ask to the russian to help you.
Best regards
Jose Pinto
