seagate ata harddrive stops working

hi every body,my segate ATA harddisk stops working suddenly wen i am doing something.It will boot up wen i restarts the computer.but after some time it will go dead again.i tried replacing the power cord and ide cable.but no use the problem is still there.please reply

Insufficient information.

Probably bad sectors or power supply. The data can be recovered. Immediately copy any data about which you care to another disk. If that is no longer possible, you probably need professional help.

Maybe there is one or more components on the PCB which overheat causing PCB to malfuinction?

Best course of action is to send to a professional for a more accurate diagnostic.

agreen with Wiseleo,do you want to want to you pay more and more for data recovery? back up immediately if you don't want. you can check what problem after backup.

thanks guys thnx 4 th replys.but actually the problem was with my motherboard.i changed the whole system.thank u guys
