Seagate head compatability

December 19th, 2008, 2:18

Hi all

let me begin by saying i have seen the artice about donors but need a bit more info.

i have a question regarding head compatability for Seagate Momentus 5400.2 2.5 inch drive
the original drive is from a macbook pro with the following info
St9100823a
pn 9w3234-040
fw 3.06
Site AMK

i have 2 donors but am not perfectly sure about a match

St9100824a
pn 9wpw3030 188
fw 3.06
site wu

the closer one i have is

ST9100823a
pn 9w3234-505
fw 3.02
site AMK

the only difference is the fw

does it appear that any of these 2 drives, more so the bottom one will be suitable for the job on hand.

I would also like to thank everyone for answering questions over the year and wish everyone here a very merry christmas and a happy new year in 2009

thank you
:D
