Please help SEAGATE 80GB PATA

December 30th, 2008, 6:46

Please Help me. if i install it on computer, i will be detected by BIOS for about 30seconds, not automatically. every time i format my drive it will be initialize but when formatting started and when reaches about 90%-95%, it will say unable to format drive. then drive lost from device manager. i already tested in other pc same problem. i even try formatting it using the WINHIIP program for Playstation2 same when it reaches 95% plus, error say unable to write to disk and lost from device manager in windows.

Thank in advance.

Try erasing with mhdd - ERASE command. If still have problem, the drive has to be serviced or replace. I can repair it if possible but it's not worth, I bet.
