Any info about the PCB, that also have a label over the big IC-SEC 004A SID9901 KB209, that shows MM100-40, appreciated. Regards MJA

:(
I was able to get a new board, from other new disk.
I can read OK , but only Cyl:0 till head 32, sector 22.
Then i got "can't read sector".
Did this be a firmware issue? The only difference
from one drive to the other was that the former was
version A and the new AA.
Please Help!

Hello
You probably didn't read any sectors from the drive ;o)
Is the PCB the correct FW level? Can you read the drives serial number? Best option is to swap the flash chip..but in this case it could be original flash that was corrupted ;O)
It's gotta be worth a try..... Always good to keep flash firmware images in case you cannot find the correct PCB ;OPP hint hint
good luck
