Samsung 1TB HD103UJ

Hi all

answer is propably going to be no, but just in case.

any chance of recovering data from this drive, dropped while in operation and the top platter is scratched with a ring right in the middle of the platter.

the heads seem to look ok, as for the other 2 platters i cant say if they have also been scratched.

the drive spins up normally, heads are unparked, they start moving to the outer limit of the drive but get half way to the scratch go back to the inner of the drive and then the drive spins down.

Thank you

3 platters ? you must check the other two also.

If other 2 are Ok, you probably can recover this with really hard work.
