I have 2 sumsung HDD : HD250HJ 8MB and HD501LJ 16MB
sandra and HDD tune report that the 250GB is faster than 500GB :shock: !!
using sandra :
250GB : 65mb/s
500 GB : 59mb/s
my old sumsung 500GB speed is 85mb/s and maxtor 500GB 80mb/s using sandra !

Seems like everything is fine except that spike inwards, could be unstable sector/s.

Different controllers and environment. Can you live at that speed?

If you really want to test them use MHDD or something not Windows-based. You can't really trust numbers from within Windows.
