Not everything but some modding seems possible - need to know the Hw details . About what to use I can't help HERE.

I'm sure you could, but why would you want to?

People have written aftermarket operating system firmware for cellular phones before.

well why i want do it ? there are a lot of reasons maybe on you can encrypt your disk saver and since i code a new type of a firewall i need to know how deep i can go into the hardware area and change or replace it.

What do a firewall and drive encryption have to do with each other? Firewall is for network security and has remote implications. Drive encryption is for security in case of lost or stolen hardware, and has physical implications.
