I am expecting PC3K to be with us in the next week or two. Would else would I need to repair the N40P? I do not have a lot of information on PC3K as I do not speak russian.

All english users of PC3000 have this problem. Slow but sure the Acelab is developing an english version, but the most helpful thing for you at the beginning and after that are the OTHER english users.

what tools do i need to repair or recover my files to this maxtor N40P, is there a freindly user tool that can repair/recover my files?

i think best tools are money
If you not repairman, you must find one and give drive to him for recover data.No free and easy solution avialable....
