Hi i have have laptop hard disk can the pcb be swap i know one on it fryed it smoked when plug in no power to disk I never try remove laptop pcb i have done on desktop hard disk before to swap
Is the same idea do they come fairly easy? or more intergrated into hard disk cause small compact size
?

I was just ask can it be done on laptop disk just like normal desktop hard disk?
or is the mainiboard more intergrate into disk casue of size issues?

Each PCB for most disks, laptop and desktop, have specific information embedded in them making PCB replacement almost impossible without correct tools to transfer adaptive information from donor to native HDD. Also, as a result of PCB damage, it would not be a surprise to find further damage to the preamp/head assembly.
Consult a pro if data is required, buy a new HDD if it is not.
