Hi, this is an update to another post. I thought this was a drive I had that was clicking & hadn't fooled around with it in a while...No clicking - that was another WD800 i have.....
I can get bios & Win XP to see it but win says it is unreadable....can someone help??????
Bios sees it as what it is:WD800BB-53CAA0
Windows XP Pro also "sees" it...In the properties box in control panel I get this...
Disk: 0
Type: unknown
Status: Unreadable
Partition Style: Not Applicable
Capacity: 0
Unallocated Space: 0
Reserved Space :0
This drive had XP on it i believe.....
Can anyone help me out there? Software ideas? DOS ideas...anything?
Thanks!!!!!

Most certainly you have a firmware problem on your drive.
You need some special tools to solve it, so if your data is important, send it to a DR company.

Zero LBA this style , test it on another pc - if the result is the same the drive need to be serviced. No sw will revive it.

Test it with mhdd, see if it sees capacity.
If mhdd sees full capacity, test with testdisk
