Problem with maxtor 6y160p0

suddenly my maxtor just locked by it self.
well
is there a way to fix it?
i have tryed some applications like victoria and mhdd32 etc etc..
found FW in the filearchive, but what now? i certanly cant find a update tool that looks like it can do the job...

What were you doing immediately before the security mode change happened?

Were you just using your computer or were you using a disk related utility?

i think it was the fault of an ide-sata converter i tryed

MHDD, Victoria, and another programs are only soft wich send "ATA commands" and get " ATA register´s anwer´s control, status, etc, u should be on first read T13.org to understand some about how hdd "communicates with the HOST, the way of how the hdd works , after that u could understand what did u get with that soft and u evaluate the problem and get the solution,
