I have a WD2000JB, i took the firmware copy from that drive and put it on my bad drive. It did not work, the drive does not knock anymore. I tried to copy the orignal firmware area and it would not allow to copy, it had trouble.

I still cannot access the data on this drive, any hope or is this drive now dead for data recovery?

Thanks
