Does anybody know how the drive encrypts the passwords?
I noticed that while changing password, data from off:0x76 (32 bytes) never changes. Maybe it is master password.
Anyway, if there is nobody who want to talk, we wanting to buy this information.

Can your program break the ATA-password in case when you do not know original password?
We are small data recovery company and we have received locked IBM drive IC25N020ATCS05 with unknown password.
We never worked with such drives that's why I started to work on this. I think that Master Password is untouched on this drive.
Could anybody suggest us how to find master password?
Drive aborts any special command.

do you have pc 3000 tools
itis contain some of programs to unlock password without knowing the original password
because it display the password which wrote

Yes, we have pc3000. But pc3000 can not work with encrypted ICES module.
I have own software for locking/unlocking. It can be written in 10 minutes, so it is not a problem for me.
The problem is to read and decrypt ICES module when drive aborts any special command.

I tried to unlock drive with pc3000 and thet comand.
My toshiba is now unlocked but still not fdiskabl.
But not locked.
What to do with Toshiba hdd?

what is "thet command" ??
I have a lot of Toshiba 2.5" to check this 4u.

the command to unlock drive.
i used a utility for big ibm on small ibm.
but no luck.
