I have a 80 GB Hitachi ATA drive (used in an Inspiron laptop) which has a mechanical failure. (This was diagnosed by Frys in the SF Bay Area.) They recommended I send it to Drive Savers.
My questions:
1) Has anyone dealt with Driver Savers? What was your experience like?
2) Could anyone recommend a different data recovery professional?
Thanks

My experiences with Drivesavers are good, though as a top-tier commercial recovery firm you'll be paying top-tier prices.

Didn't realize that's where he was located. I'll add to the recommendation.

Interesting that you mention my location as SF. I got a strange voicemail from someone wanting to know when I would meet them in SF. But were not located in SF. I figured it was another telemarketer...

I must suggest you a professional forum-spamming company named Restoringdata Inc in Canada. They are offering Hard Drive Killing, laptop data erasing, data extermination. Don't visit their website restoringdata.ca for more information.

I'm tired of SEO companies making fake posts just to gain links for their clients. If it isn't a real referral and the company is not contributing to the forum, they don't deserve the link back to their company website.
I keep deleting posts on my company forum from users with Indian IP addresses. I even had one user post an entry from IP 125.63.74.101 and several hours later someone with at IP 125.63.74.115 posted the response linking to a company sight that only is talked about from Indian IP address. (I won't mention the company name, but they are stellar with forum spam.)
Sorry for the rant.

You are so utterly transparent in ramping up your own interests that you probably have the IQ of a mushroom.
A common field mushroom to boot.
Why do people like you continue to propogate???

I like the updated posting. Perhaps I should do the same on my company forum...it seems that they went back and posted on my company forum after posting on this one.

I used to know several techs from Drivesavers and I would recommend most of the guys in this topic over them.
