Hi to all,

Have this disk that was clicking, afther open and see the heads at the microscope it was "dirty" with a white on the heads i clean it, but the disk start clikc again afther put the heads.

Anyone knows what is this "withe" thing that where in the heads off the client.

i Change with a new good heads and the problem is the same.

Contamination inside or was the drive exposed to chemical by a chance?

Airborn dust particles do a LOT of damage to HDD platters.

It's not particle as there's a filter on breather hole...

no, it dont look like Particules, the heads 0 2 3 where "white" on the heads, dont know what is it !!!

Well, if there is not platter contamination, you have a BIG MEDIA DAMAGE on surfaces 0,2,3... ouch ! Check it... :(

I look at both filters.

And it have a filter near the heads maybe the "withe" dust, that was on the heads it came from here.

The plattes look OK
