Classroom Data Recovery Training

May 19th, 2009, 5:16

Hi

I am technical person with 10 years of experience in software and hardware.

I do some recovery on hard disk with file system corruption problems. I am interested in attending a proper data recovery training to upgrade myself to do physical recovery. I am currently in Singapore, but willing to travel to any place.

Can anyone please help me and recommend a trusted on-hand data recovery training centre?. I see few companies providing online training, but I am looking for classroom training where I can physically learn the data recovery process.

Please provide your personal experience if you have attended one.

Cheers

I am looking for hands-on data recovery training so that I can start in the right direction to do data recovery on physically or electronically damaged hard disk. I understand it will few years to master the skill, I am just looking for a good start on this physical recovery so I will save few days of search for information on my own.

Thanks for your help

Ask a pro for personal training one on one. Don't trust generic courses. It will cost a lot and require time. Don't be scammed. Pay (much) and pretend. Period.

From where I am living I am not able to find pro, and pro I know is not very keen in sharing :)

That is why I was looking for some professional data recovery training, if anyone know a genuine hands-on training ? Again I know nobody can teach or learn everything in few days time, what I am looking for is some good headstart to continue in the right path and teacher with good after class support !! :D

It's only a matter of money. Trust me, everything has a price.

Excuse me for the double post in a row... How much would you pay for a course that suits your need , excluded after course support ?

I saw your previous posts and I know you are not in favor of attending any data recovery course.

I value your advice, what do you suggest for a beginner who wants to learn about data recovery ?

I doubt you will finb ab experienced data recovery guru willing to teach you their 'trade secrets' for that much. If you were offering $15,000 US you could easily find a few people who would spent 1-2 weeks with you.

I can consider spending 15K, but do you have anyone to recommend with verfiable claims ?

It depends on what you mean 'verifiable claims' : flashy websites, degrees (ever knew engineers that are total jerks?), etc. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT : you can have the best teachers, but to learn and apply is only UP TO YOU.

I doubt anyone would be willing to sell their trade secrets for 15K. Maybe some basics, but that's all.
Make it 150K and you might attract a few.

As a first step you can always contact ACE lab, Their office in Ottawa Canada has ~bi yearly training sessions. I dont remember exact prices but it was ~ 6-7K for 4 days or smth like that.
