Hello friend´s
Only want to know u suggest about this case.
Lacie Bigger Disk, Hitachi 320GB (4) Burned PCB
1.- First repair one PCB, and did image tried to build the RAID first like 0 , JBOD then JBOD (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+ RAID 0 (DISK 2+DISK3 ) without results. tried the all possible orders, well i know where start because one disk hast the HFS+ Apple Partitions´s, tried different size nothing.
2.- The enclosure its burned and doesnt work, so we tried to repair the 4 Disks, and tried again , now we can see data only by RAW using this JBOD (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+ RAID 0 (DISK 2+DISK3 ) 128kb, we can get a few of data by RSTUDIO on RAW Format , test data and its ok, tested bigger JPEG, bigger MPEG, and works fine the problem its only a few of data from the most data , tried UFS, and its possible to see the complete directory structures, but its not possible to access folders and data inside
Any suggest?
Update, using Winhex Forensic like RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1) now we can see folders , and was able to get some folders, then another´s show access to the sectors, im think that error its because are the another stripe, using UFS, build the array, show , folders but cannot access, to the files, show error at the access, but we can see Big image´s on RAW Format ,
Hello friend ´s still working with this case, and without solutions , tried to spin up the Lacie box, some times detects some times no, and hangs when attempt to read, tried a lot of configurations like
JBOD (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+ RAID 0 (DISK 2+DISK3 ) 128kb using UFS show the folders, but error when tried to access. unable to read directory, but RAW show all data but unfortunely from this way doesnt work for the client.
JBOD (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+ JBOD (DISK 2+DISK3 )128kb nothing
RAID 0 (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+ JBOD (DISK 2+DISK3 ) nothing .
RAID 0 (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+ RAID 0 (DISK 2+DISK3 ) nothing .
RAID 0 betwen all set nothing
JBOD all set´s nothing.
I tried to did this day, analyze analyze each set of RAID 0 the first ( DISK+DISK1) show some pictures but corrupted, but the strange the another set tried the same RAID 0 (DISK2+DISK3) the data "JPEG" on raw its complete corrupted, tried with 64kb, the same 256kb nothing
Tried to use Raid reconstructor on this set, and find that set like 64kb,
Again another update, we are hurry up by the date to end the work
we number to the disks´HA1 HB1 HA2 HB2 the only way where we find data its RAID 0 (HA1,HB1) RAID 0 (HA2 , HB2) then both a JBOD 128kb,
i tried to did a raw scan from each disk alone , scanning HA1, HB1 and tried to find RAW, we find of course data corrupted, but if we scan the another set of disks HA2, then HB2, we dont find any raw data , the strange its the header for example at JPEG at this set´s scanning HA1, get the JPEG header .. . FF D8 FF ascii yoya.... JFIF etc.
but at HA and HB2 second sets nop start the header with a few bytes then change
like FF D8 FF then change bytes

Beto,
You need to buy a compatible enclosure on eBay. Trust me, it will make life MUCH simpler . . .

The configuration these tend to use are the one you say you are having the best luck with
usually on 4 disks its 2 sets of RAID 0, then those RAID 0 sets are JBOD.
typically it is a 128k stripe.
I have run into the same problem you have also; all of the settings match up, yet still no data.
In my cases I even had a working enclosure!
I will let you know if I figure anything out.

"tried to spin up the Lacie box, some times detects some times no, and hangs when attempt to read, tried a lot of configurations like"
It appears to me there is some power issue. I have similar cases before for 2 -disk Lacie box model.
No harm try this. Get an external power supply and connect the hard disks to the external power supply. Just leave the internal power supply of casing to its internal boards.
If all disks spin up and provided there is no other hw damages, you are in luck.

beto,
One way decision : Most of Lacie box have some problem with power supply. Replace it.
Second: I think you are not correct reconstract raid . You should try reconstract not all space of disks, just only functional part. First part in the drives could be the same (mirored) or not function.
Considering this:
now we can see data only by RAW using this JBOD (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+ RAID 0 (DISK 2+DISK3 ) 128kb, we can get a few of data by RSTUDIO on RAW Format , test data and its ok, tested bigger JPEG, bigger MPEG, and works fine the problem its only a few of data from the most data
and this:
using Winhex Forensic like RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1) now we can see folders , and was able to get some folders, then another´s show access to the sectors
Try this: JBOD (RAID 0 (DISK0+DISK1)+((((RAID 0 (DISK2+DISK3 )
cut first not functional part) ))))
Good Luck

Hy rdm.kiev.ua thanks for u answer, now we got 300GB of data, , but still reamains another part, i tried to left more time the scanning and we get data on RAW format from both RAID 0 means but unfortunely RAW doesnt need the client.
RAID0 (HA1+HB1) = we can get the complete structure 5 folders, but we get data from 3 folders, 300 GB but still remaing im think like 200GB , we can get data by RAW too
RAID 0 (HA+HB2) = We find the another data by RAW , different JPEG images, big images, looks OK
If we tried to build a JBOD or RAID 0 between this, 2 RAID 0 we dont get nothing
Regards and thanks

You don't understand me. ( Sorry for my english)

You don't need build Raid0 with this RAID0 (HA1+HB1) and this RAID 0 (HA+HB2). Its incorrect construction.
Look: (HA1+HB1) have 2 Partition (start partition and main partition) for example start = xxxx sectors , main = all other sectors.
This xxxx sectors you may CANCEL from second part (HA+HB2) from begining and you have a correct part which you can add to (HA1+HB1) . And you have a correct JBOD.
Understand ?

If u means this array
JBOD [RAID 0 (HA1+HB1)+RAID 0 (HA2+HB2 )] , i did that setting 128kb, but without results, tried even different stripes.

No.
You lost one manual operation with part: RAID 0 (HA2+HB2 ). You need "Cook" it by "front part circumcision"

Problem is not in the beginning, but at the end of the first JBOD

Indeed analyzing that, i will post the results
Thanks friends!

i ment offcourse at the end of the first raid0

I had the same drive some time ago. Fitst de-stripped both RAID0 into single drive/images and then used UFS explorer and set them as JBOD. Worked fine for me.

Have you looked at the volume header and verified the actual size of the volume. Any time I am dealing with multiple drives, I need to know that first so I know what are the possible configurations.
