Looking for a source for GOOD ide/sata adapters

June 2nd, 2009, 11:44

I've accumulated loads of various ide-sata adapters over the last few years. I've noticed that some of them are great for everything and some of them are not. Anyone have any particular ones that they like or recommend? One particular desire is known compatibility with salvation/pc3000. Some of the ones I have here work fine with them, and some of them randomly lock up (which is very bad when, say, reading/writing flash rom contents, etc)

I just bought some VPD-S2P. Neat design i must say, quite robust AND no hassle with separate power cable.
Still have to test them thoroughly with PC3K, but first test did not show a problem.

Best regards,

Thanks, do you have a link to a site that carries those? I'm not turning anything up on Google.

I ordered mine at cd-writer.com, but it is also sold in the US.

The picture however does not match what i got.
Mine has power connector next to ide cable and at the sata side it is also one connector that has signal and power entry.
