Oh... That's the problem. You can unlock for free: do the things done for locking in reverse order...

When you lock yourself out of your house or a car, do you pay a locksmith to get you back in????

The same concept applys here... The door locks can be physically broken with a screw driver or a small drill, May be the hard drive can be physically broken, too!!!!

or Open Sesami!!!!!

If you need data, you need to contact PEPE. Unless you know the password or you can undo whatever you did to the drive, PEPE might be the only option for you at this moment.

There are a few things you just can't do without expensive equipment at the lab... Unlocking 5400.3 a user defined hard drive password is one of them. If you don't need the data, it's cheaper to toss that hard drive and buy a new one!!!

or sell it as is on Ebay with a warning stating it's a password protected hard drive but you are selling it as is without the unlock password.

I don't think no average computer user will buy it for even $0.01 because it will cost a lot more money to make it a useable drive.

If your mom need a hart transplant, would you do it on your own with a DIY book on your side???

If yu are here in the US and you are local to where I'm at, sure I'll help you out for less but sure it won't be FREE!!!

U got a solution, somewhat different than what u expected, and now U are upset.

yeah, sometimes I just don't have time to check forum, and this just catched my eye...
we charge 20 eurs for unlocking. the drive is wiped in this case. If someone needs the data the costs are higher.
This is just to prevent that stolen data gets to inappropriate hands.
