hds722525vlat80 not spinning up

June 10th, 2009, 15:55

Hitachi 250GB IDE
hds722525vlat80

Not spining up anymore

WHDD almost sees it, but says V3UOA63A 0MB

Tried swapping pcb with a very close match (from an exact same physical drive layout, but sata)
-- no help

The motor isn't jammed and head havent stuck
(from a quick look inside in my 'clean room' (yeah))

Nothing important on it anymore
(it was months ago that a friens asked me to take a quick look)

Now I've discovered this board I thought I ask if anyone had any opinions

If im understanding u post the byself hdd not spin, but detects V3UOA63A 0MB? what does ATA registers´s show u at this moment BSY, ?
when u tried with a donnor pcb, spin´s? or what happend, if spins,
could be a NVRAM corrupted, are some similar cases at Hitachi´s disk to solve it need special equipment, & experience to work on that
