Lacie d2 Ethernet Big Disk - No disks

June 12th, 2009, 18:18

I've just bought a failed Lacie d2 Ethernet Big Disk, There are no disks in it.

I've been able to get the device working using the OS intended for the EDmini V2 (http://gpl.nas-central.org/LACIE/ethern ... on_images/) , but the GUI for this version of the OS is not aware of the second disk.

I'm searching for OS images for the 2 disk device including the raid setup, I also need information about how to partition each of the disks.

Lacie technical support were not very helpful when I asked them for images.

Cheers

Why why why??

I can't see why you would want to use one of these enclosures. They are absolute rubbish. We get lots of them with failed controllers, so I think you are setting yourself up for unnecessary grief by trying to get this to work.

Sorry, I don't mean to be overly negative.
