ST380020A donor match question

June 28th, 2009, 22:41

Cheers Gurus,

I have a question about this model of Seagate. I know that Seagates are picky when it comes to repair and I am in discussions with a seller who is asking for minimal matching data from the drive. I typically ask for Model (or course), 1st three of serial number, Config code, firmware and site code. This is my first experience with a Seagate that does not obviously have a serial number but does have a configuration level. PCB swap did not fix it, hotswap did not fix it and it does not get to ready in PC3k. Drive is clicking in PC3k, next step is headswap. So thats why I am asking about minimal data for a matching donor. Any thoughts?
Thanks you immensely!

What about a terminal report?
