WD HEAD REPLACEMENT

I HAVE WD HDD 80GB WITH SOUND CLICK.
HDD INFORMATION
WD800BB-00JKC0 BACK-I
DCM :HSBHCTJAH
Made in Malaysia

COULD YOU PLS TELL ME THE HDD WD RULES FOR HEAD REPLACEMNT ?

Or What is the donor should much to replace the head ?

You are far from the solution at this point.
You need to do the alignment after select and get the perfect match for donor.

is your pcb rom informations readable?

try to clean contact on pcb if not swap pcb first.

The most common problems at WD, Bad Sectors, PCB, MHA, SA some times FDB, like jono told u, are u sure its head problem, the knocking its contruisly, or knock 2 times and knock again, then motor stop, knocks 3 times and spindle stop what are getting on ATA registers? does hdd never reach readiness at any time?

The 7 knocks are continiusly and THEN STOP .The bios configuration is :WDC ROM MODEL--SHABRE-
so what is your advice.

I think no servo.

1. pcb or contacts
2. preamp
3. head

But similar can be SA problem as well, but on this case the head can read the servo.
