WD800JB-00FMA0 - Stays BSY always

Hi to all,

Have this disk that when i connect it it stays BSY always.

I put in Kernel mode and also the same happen.

i dont have any other PCB for change an try.

PCB 2061-001209-290 AE XC 1T08 0C1W 1 0001320 4321

Any advice will be great.

2060-001130-XXX
with this drive

i dont have that one.

so i test the other one that i have

2061-701292-000 AV

I could get DRD DSC, but not the correct size, need the ROM for the patient, but i notice that the marvel chip is different,

P - 88i5540-LFH - 2003 - Family - Mammoth
D - 88i6540-LFH1 - 2006 - Family - Sabre53

can i do something here ?

no 1292 will not work you can also try 1252 its sata for 1209 .

i order this PCB 2061-001209

now i can have DRD DSC, but need to know if this drive as too much adaptive, or can i change write some ROM versions until i get the ID off the drive ?

check firmware first or do hot swap for check.
