Does it ever get boring?

August 18th, 2009, 16:52

Bringing hard drives back to life that is? Its been months since I started looking into how these things work and I get happy every time I learn how to do something new. No thanks to most of you bastards  Actually, it has been more fun just figuring out most of this stuff myself. With a little help here and there. There is one thing I dont get. What is the deal with these Toshiba drives. There is so little information on them. With the way they are made, one would think they would be easier to work with.

Dont worry guys. Im not going into data recovery. I just like having something to challenge my brain. My fiance wont let me have a Chemistry set so I have to settle for this.

I had a chemistry set when I was 9, I decided to mix all the chemicals and stick a cork into the tube, then apply some heat with a bunsen burner. This resulted in a purple explosion in my parents' kitchen. Needless to say that was the last time I got my hands on it.

Most jobs we see are different to some extent so the job doesn't get boring. Every day is a challenge but some days I wish I had chosen an easier way to earn a living. That's life eh!

Its not explosions my fiance fears. Its uhm, the other stuff. Organic chemistry is almost like...magic :)

You don't need a chemistry set to make organic chemistry magic... just some good soil, a tupperware container, and a closet with a light in it :D

 The stuff I was making was a bit more advanced. Well, advanced for high school. Especially the school I went to. My teacher actually got me couple of the ingredients. I just wanted to see if I could do it. He made me dump it when I was finished. Sort of. Most of the teachers used to let their students use their notes for tests and they still failed. I used to feel so sorry for the teachers. I spent my freshman thru junior year in one of the best schools in Chicago. I was, uhm, asked to leave for my senior year though. So I had to go to the local crappy school. I wish I would have gone there in the first place. I learned more there than all the years at the other school combined.

I see that "Organic chemistry" can bring a lot of fun but can have side effects... does sex count as "organic chemistry" ? Positively YES

About Toshibas, there is little or NO info on them if you intend something to download or "e-mule", but no guts = no glory . You have to work it out by yourself. It's possible. No, I won't share 8) Period #2.

CK, you tried that too? :D
My parents had to repaint the kitchen after that experiment

Dobre, we must have had the same set!! :)

I got away with just ruining the ceiling. It was a lovely shade of purple.

It didnt have many side effects when I made it. :) Emule? Do people still use that? I mean I havent been able to find much information. The only stuff I learned about the Toshiba's is from what I read in the pc3k manual. I just dont understand why there isnt more information. I dont mind working it out by myself. And your rights about the no guts. You really have to take chances and not be afraid to brick a hard drive or uhm 20. I just would like to know where to start.
