Seagate 120GB ST3120026A PCB : burnt diode?

I have a Seagate ST3120026A, 120GB, F8.01. One of the components is burnt. I am looking to replace it if I can identify it. Can anyone identify the component circled in the attached image, and let me know size/rating etc..

Its a TVS, simply remove it.
If you want more info, search this forum for TVS.
Hope nothing else is damaged.

The component you are referring to is a 12V, 600W, unidirectional TVS diode, marking code BUX, made by ST Microelectronics.

The BU? marking code appears to be used by ST Microelectronics in their SMBJ series 600W Transil (TVS) range. The "C" appears to be the manufacturing location, followed by a numeric YWW date code.

The component circled in yellow is a 5V, 400W, unidirectional TVS diode, marking code QE, made by ON Semiconductor. Its part number is 1SMA5.0AT3.

If, for continued protection, you want to replace the diode, try Farnell or RS Components.

Look for the SMBJ series (600W) or SMAJ (400W).

HI.... i found a Seagate ST340015A with same trouble; but the burned component is located near the motor. This hard drive was producing a short circuit in the power supply.
Reading this forum i found that this component is a diode ... then i proceed to desolder it. Now the drive works perfectly. Thank you very much.

Please be aware that running a drive without a TVS is not recommended as a power surge will make further damage to the now un-protected drive and can/will kill the pre-amp inside the drive making a recovery way more expensive.

I cant find that TVS´s in my city but ... then i found a equivalent VDR ... very similar ... just having a slower response speed.
