September 4th, 2009, 9:47

Hi everyone,

I have a WD3200BMVU-11A04S0 with problem on the pcb.
As you know this drive has integrated USB on it and it doesnt have SATA conncetions.

Does anyone know with which is compatible this drive so i can replace the pcb with a normal SATA pcb and get the data???

Thanx in advance

you can't replace it with SATA PCB w/o changing the whole FW

I had a 500Gb one of those the other day, sorted it and recovered all the data :-)

Mine was spinning up but not seen by the PC at all.

What's occuring with yours? Is it spinning up?

You'll probably need to change the USB controller chip (at least), but this is a very difficult task.
