Seagate Barracuda Hard Disk Platter Replace

September 19th, 2009, 4:37

I've Seagate Barracuda ST3250310AS 7200.10 250GB.

Its not being detected by any PC. It has cloaking and knocking problem. I can replace its platter with other HDD but I'm unable to find the same model.

Is there anybody who can provide required drive to me or let me know if i can replace platter with any other model revision of Barracuda 250GB like 7200.12?

Every help will be appreciated.

If hdd its knocking could be a Head problem , check terminal, before do anything
did a platter exchange on this series, and u could endless with this log , caused by an excentricity problem after the process. BSY.
