Hey guys,

I have a Samsung 40 GB ATA HDD which definately has some problems. I want to rerpair and use this HDD. the warranty period has expired too. Do any of you have any suggestions???

This is the error I get on booting from the faulty HDD:

An error has been found on your hard disk.
Press ENTER to continue.

I have used Hiren's Boot CD, but I was not able to operate it well as I know very little about it. I have heard that It is very useful.

My system:
Intel Dual Core E2140
Intel DG965RYCK
Zion 1.5 GB RAM
40 GB ATA HDD ( this I want to repair)

Please help.

Buy a new drive they are cheap why repair a faulty drive and have problems with your data it is not worth repairing a 40GB HDD trash it and buy new it is cheaper this way.
